The Safe-Bed is manufactured in Finland by Emfit Pty Ltd who  pioneered the quasi-piezoelectric sensor. This wafer thin, super sensitive sensor is inserted under the sleeping person and along with intelligent software built into the control unit can sense when a sufferer is experiencing a seizure or when they exit the bed.

Emfit’s bed sensor products are placed under the mattress in bed, without any direct electrical or mechanical contact with the patient. This makes them both safe and extremely easy to use; no electrodes or wires are connected to the patient.  This product is for home or in-hospital use.
